Clients submitting to insurance for reimbursement

Contact your insurance carrier to determine if you have out-of-network mental/behavioral health benefits.  Consider asking the following questions to best understand your benefits:

Do I have out-of-network mental/behavioral health benefits?

Do I have an out-of-network deductible that has to be met first before I get reimbursed?

Has any amount of my deductible been covered this year?

What is my co-insurance amount?

What is the out-of-network reimbursement rate?

Is there a limit to how many sessions my plan covers per year?  If so, what is it?

Good Faith Estimate

For patients who are receiving treatment without using insurance, healthcare providers are required to give an estimate of how much your medical care will cost.  A Good Faith Estimate will give an approximate total of expected cost of any non-emergency items or services.  For questions or more information, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

Medication

As an LPC, I do not prescribe medication.  If you are interested in medication I can work to help you find you a psychiatrist or other prescriber.

Emergencies

Because I cannot guarantee that I can be available outside of our scheduled time together, in the event of an emergency please contact your local crisis line https://www.dhs.pa.gov/Services/Mental-Health-In-PA/Documents/Suicide_Prevention_Hotlines.pdf, visit your nearest hospital or call 911 for immediate care.
